Biography
The story so far
From IT support tickets to CTO — how six years of hands-on roles built the way I ship product today.

I'm John Kleinad, a full-stack product engineer based in Mexico City. My path into software started far from a keyboard — running IT support and systems for a restaurant franchise, where I learned how technology actually gets used, or ignored, inside a real business, long before I learned how to write code for one.
That instinct followed me into frontend work: rebuilding a betting platform from scratch for Xoy Capital / Upick, a mobile-first rewrite that shipped a 70% performance gain and was adopted across the entire conglomerate within five months. Then to Grupo Tracsa, building internal tools for one of Mexico's largest equipment distributors — a rewards store, GPS-integrated loan tracking, and reporting systems used across the organization.
In 2023 I went independent, and the following year co-founded Yauz Inc. as CTO — an AI-powered CRM for real estate agents with WhatsApp automation and Amazon Bedrock lead scoring, now in production with 130+ agents. Building Yauz end to end, product and infrastructure both, is what convinced me the one-person, full-stack model is the right way for me to build.
Alongside client and product work, I'm active in the AWS community: co-organizer of AWS Community Day México (1,800+ attendees), creative director for its 2025 edition, and a recurring speaker at user groups, tech communities, and universities across Mexico. In 2026 I was named an AWS Community Builder (Dev Tools) for that involvement.
Today I split my time between shipping Yauz, taking on select product engineering work — Next.js, React Native, Node, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS — and showing up for the AWS and developer communities that shaped how I think about building software.
Six years. Four roles. One trajectory.
From IT support to leading platform redesigns and creative direction for AWS-scale events. Every step compounds into the judgment I bring to your product today.

Built internal tools for one of Mexico's largest equipment distributors — a referral rewards store, a loan tracking system with GPS integration, and automated reporting tools used across the organization.
Rebuilt a betting platform from scratch in Next.js, mobile-first — a 70% performance gain and a flood of user praise on launch day. The new stack was adopted across the entire conglomerate within 5 months.
Reduced technical support wait times for branches and franchises by implementing efficient internal processes and tooling. Trained staff for franchise openings, managed system and equipment installation, and maintained IT infrastructure at the corporate office and branches.
My working tools.
Battle-tested in production. No buzzword chasing — every tool here has shipped a real product.

AWS-native infrastructure, end to end.
Actively involved in the AWS community across meetups, Community Day México, and close work with engineers operating real workloads. In 2026 I was selected as an AWS Community Builder for that community involvement and for sharing knowledge around the platform.
